Most of South Sudanese children have been disadvantaged by the waves of violence in the country. Many children have little access to basic education. CEDAR is putting education as one of its key priorities. An educational campaign of “Leave no child behind” and “Support girl child education and stop child/forced marriage” will be rolled out in all communities to ensure that every child gets basic education.
CEDAR commits to join hands with communities to build schools, especially primary so as to bring basic education closer to the children.
The programs will involve early childhood development so that children at lower age are developed and shown path to the better future. The training programs will include establishing vocational programs in communities aimed at training locals on self-sustainable skills like; carpentry, bricks laying, building, tailoring, mechanical and electrical engineering, bakery, blacksmithing, weaving, catering and other business short courses.
