Who We ARE
CEDAR aspires to provide humanitarian and development assistance to conflicts and disaster affected communities, lead grassroots development initiatives through engaging local communities in life changing skills that equip them with knowledge to innovatively run their livelihood activities in agricultures, fisheries and livestock, small business enterprises, vocational trainings and establishing associations and cooperative societies.
Furthermore, communities are severely affected by past and present conflicts, and this has left almost every soul and community wounded and need reconciliation and healing. To ensure successful grassroots engagements in developmental activities.
CEDAR made sure peace building is one of its priority areas to engage communities and facilitate grassroots dialogue that identifies shared solutions, address past grievance, heal wounds and find long lasting solutions to conflicts. Creating peaceful communities provides peaceful environment for implementation of various developmental activities, create secure working environment for sustainable initiatives.
CEDAR prioritizes the needs of the vulnerable people and more especially for women, youth and persons with special needs – with the aim of engaging them in livelihoods and resilience activities in order to uproot poverty and economic hardships from the family level. This approach cements our aim of “Building resilience and sustainable communities”.

CEDAR as a humanitarian and developmental organization shall have the mission of saving lives, and empowering communities to live productively in harmony and with dignity. The organization will pursue the following objectives.

Empower communities through livelihoods and agricultural activities to eradicate poverty, boost food production, and enhance economic resilience.
Humanitarian Resilience
Support disaster affected communities with humanitarian services and provide them with needed information and skills to facilitate recovery and resilience.
Guardian Voices
Provide protection to women and girls against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and promoting awareness campaigns against SGBV and conflict related sexual violence (CRSV) among the local communities
Education Equality
Promote access to quality education by creating awareness and campaigns of “leave no child behind” and encouraging girl child education, discouraging early child and forced marriages among communities.
