After implementing the Just Future project in Bor for the last two years, CEDAR extended to implement the project in Torit in 2023. Upon the launch of the project in Torit, CEDAR activated an existing women peace network established in 2020 as Women Mediators Network (WOMENET) and facilitated the formation of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) – the two networks that will lead lobby and advocacy activities in Torit.

One of the key objectives of the Just Future Project is “People-Centered Security Governance”. Our Women advocacy group, the Women Mediators Network (WOMENET) and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) conduct monthly meetings in which they discuss security issues affecting their communities and raise them with the security actors and local authorities
